All material to be cut must rest flat on the table and against
the back of the saw.

The miter saw can be used to cut a 90 degree
vertical cut, or at various angles. The fence must be in the
proper position for each type of cut. At left, the fence is in
the proper position for a vertical, 90 degree cut. |

To cut diagonally, the fence position must be
set as shown at left. The fence is removed by opening the
clamp located on the back of the fence. The fence can then be
removed and repositioned. Make sure the fence is securely
locked into position before using the saw. |
